The Music Education Initiative

PRODUCTION EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL TRAINING PROGRAM

ADVANCE YOUR KNOWLEDGE

The overall mission of the Music Education Initiative is to engage, educate, elevate and prepare the next generation of professionals in the business of music and entertainment. One way we do that is through our Workforce Development Workshops.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Our Production Education and Technical Training Program is a first-class workshop held at established locations in Northwest Arkansas. It's an immersive experience that exposes, educates, and trains participants on production and technical fundamentals and offers the opportunity to work with companies that are in need of trained talent. We are making efforts to offer these workshops to other areas of the state.

What to Expect

Participants will be trained by live performance technicians on key areas of the industry:  safety, logistics support, audio, lighting, and best practices. After training, participants may be eligible for upcoming jobs and potential careers as live performance technicians. This workforce development program gives you the hands-on experience you need while developing relationships with key people in the industry. Ultimately, you'll gain the ability to be hired for entry-level employment at an hourly rate much higher than the current minimum wage.
